This Privacy Policy explains how ReWrite – Handwriting Rehab ("ReWrite", "the app", "we") handles information when you use the application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The short version is this: ReWrite does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.
This policy applies to the ReWrite app available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Amazon Appstore, and any other distribution channel through which the app is made available.
ReWrite is a wellness support application, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or cure any medical condition. It is intended solely as a self-directed home practice aid to complement professional stroke rehabilitation care.
We collect no personal data.
ReWrite does not collect, process, or transmit any information about you or your device. Specifically:

The app stores your exercise progress data (accuracy scores, session history) locally on your device using IndexedDB or equivalent on-device storage. This data:
ReWrite does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect personal data. This includes — but is not limited to — no analytics platforms, no advertising networks, no social media integrations, no crash reporting services, and no cloud storage or backend services.
ReWrite is designed to work fully offline. The app does not make network requests to transmit your data.
ReWrite is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13. Because ReWrite collects no data at all, it inherently complies with COPPA, the UK Children's Code, and GDPR provisions regarding children's data.

As no personal data is collected or processed, no legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR is required. We are not a data controller in respect of any personal data.
No personal data is collected, and therefore no data is transferred across borders or to third countries.
We hold no personal data and therefore have no data retention period. Progress data stored on your device is retained until you uninstall the app or clear local storage.
Because ReWrite does not transmit or store any data on external servers, the risk of a data breach is eliminated at the source. Your on-device progress data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms.
ReWrite is a wellness and rehabilitation support tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always follow the guidance of your occupational therapist or stroke rehabilitation team.
If we update this policy, we will publish the revised version at the same URL and update the "Last updated" date. Given the nature of the app, we do not anticipate material changes.
