This Privacy Policy explains how Stroke Sight – Visual Field Trainer ("Stroke Sight", "the app", "we") handles information when you use the application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. The short version is this: Stroke Sight does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.

Stroke Sight is a wellness support application, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or cure any medical condition. It is intended solely as a self-directed home practice aid to complement professional stroke rehabilitation care.

4. On-Device Data Storage

The app stores your exercise progress data (accuracy scores, reaction times, session history) locally on your device using IndexedDB or equivalent on-device storage. This data:

The app includes an optional "Email my progress" feature. When used, the user types their own email address directly into the app. This address is used solely to pre-populate the "To:" field in the user's own mail application via a standard mailto: link. The email address is:

5. Third-Party Services and SDKs

Stroke Sight does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect personal data. This includes — but is not limited to — no analytics platforms, no advertising networks, no social media integrations, no crash reporting services, and no cloud storage or backend services.

6. Internet Access

Stroke Sight is designed to work fully offline. The app does not make network requests to transmit your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Stroke Sight is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13. Because Stroke Sight collects no data at all, it inherently complies with COPPA, the UK Children's Code, and GDPR provisions regarding children's data.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

9. Legal Basis for Processing

As no personal data is collected or processed, no legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR is required. We are not a data controller in respect of any personal data.

No personal data is collected, and therefore no data is transferred across borders or to third countries.

We hold no personal data and therefore have no data retention period. Progress data stored on your device is retained until you uninstall the app or clear local storage.

12. Security

Because Stroke Sight does not transmit or store any data on external servers, the risk of a data breach is eliminated at the source. Your on-device progress data is protected by your device's own security mechanisms.

13. Medical Disclaimer

Stroke Sight is a wellness and rehabilitation support tool. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always follow the guidance of your neuro-optometrist, orthoptist, or stroke rehabilitation team.

14. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will publish the revised version at the same URL and update the "Last updated" date. Given the nature of the app, we do not anticipate material changes.
